Another Baby Shower Gift

I think I mentioned that I go to a lot of baby showers? It's great! I love oohing over all the cuteness, and it gives me motivation (and a deadline) to make something fun. Here's what I took along this time:

My first attempt at freezer paper stenciling. Fun! Easy! Will do again.

I love doing crocheted hats for showers. This one more or less follows Debbie Stoller's baby sherlock pattern. I hope the baby is chubby because I think the ear flaps would be so cute tied around chubby cheeks. Don't you think?

And a tuxedo onesie. I actually started this onesie back when my toddler was a baby. I found this ruffley fabric, which I patched onto the front, and then never got around to making the bow tie. Until today. I did a simplified version of a tutorial found here. I made it smaller and didn't use interfacing because I wanted it to be less bulky.

Now, if only I would make some cute stuff for my own kids!
